1937 Zenith Cube Radio model 5S218 Electronically Restored w 1/8" input added

Tap image to advance

Here we have a Zenith cube radio model 5S218. It dates to 1937 and has been completely restored to full functionality. It has had an 8th inch input added so you can play most anything through it. It can even be used as a tube amp for your guitar or harmonica. I have found that it sounds amazing when using the input, it is interference free. When using it as a radio it picks up AM and shortwave broadcasts. It measures 12" wide x 10 1/2" tall x 9 3/4" deep (including the knobs). - Antique tube radio reception can differ greatly depending on location, length of antenna, time of day and amount of interference in different areas. Many modern-day appliances can also interfere with reception and cause static, distortion or buzzing. This is an 80+ year old AM radio. Its reception, sound and performance should not be expected to compare to a modern radio with today's technology. It pulls in all of our local channels. I cannot guarantee reception quality in your area. It may differ (better or worse) depending on your location, surroundings, distance from AM broadcasts in your vicinity and interference. Antique Radio Electronics, whether restored or un-restored, are by nature hazardous due to their voltage, design, age and should not be operated unattended or for great lengths at a time. Any operation, repairs or other adjustments are done at your own risk.
