1938 E.H. Scott Phantom Deluxe Radio - Restored and Working - 20 Tube Radio

Tap image to advance

Here we have a 1938 E.H. SCOTT Phantom Deluxe radio. It has been electronically restored, and it works great. It features 8 knobs, a green tuning eye 2 chrome chassis, 20 vacuum tubes and a 15-inch high fidelity Scott/Magnavox speaker It measures 26 3/4" wide (at the base) x 36 5/8" tall x 15 1/2" deep (front to back). It is in excellent working condition. Both chrome chassis look amazing with the exception being the large can on the power supply having a big dent. The Scott News images of the radio are shown for reference only and are not included. Antique tube radio reception can differ greatly depending on location, length of antenna, time of day and amount of interference in different areas. Many modern-day appliances can also interfere with reception and cause static, distortion or buzzing. This is an 80+ year old AM radio. Its reception, sound and performance should not be expected to compare to a modern radio with today's technology. It pulls in all of our local channels. I cannot guarantee reception quality in your area. It may differ (better or worse) depending on your location, surroundings, distance from AM broadcasts in your vicinity and interference. Antique Radio Electronics, whether restored or un-restored, are by nature hazardous due to their voltage, design, age and should not be operated unattended or for great lengths at a time. Any operation, repairs or other adjustments are done at your own risk. Please scroll down to view all the pictures and feel free to ask questions.
