Tap image to advance
Chicago hosted a series of parades for the Apollo crews after each exciting space flight. Apollo 14 was the third moon landing. This sign reads "CHICAGO WELCOMES APOLLO XIV CREW". It is an original parade street sign. These signs were attached to light poles on the parade route. It is dated on the back March 5, 1971 (the date of the parade) and reads "Shepard, Roosa, Mitchell". It measures 28" x 22" and is on heavy poster board. This ad is for the APOLLO XIV sign only. Please scroll down to view the pictures and feel free to ask questions. See our other auctions for the other 3 posters. The other images are shown for historical reference only. The sign you see is the sign you will receive. They were obtained from the family of a retired police officer who worked at the parades. We have only one of each.
