Working 1925 Burns Pyralin Amber Horn Radio Speaker - Tortoise Shell

Tap image to advance

Here we have a very rare 1925 amber "Tortoise Shell" Burns radio horn speaker. The horn is actually made of Pyralin an early celluloid like plastic. It was made here in Chicago by American Electric Chicago. This 100-year-old speaker is beautiful. It is in excellent condition with the only exception being a 1 1/2 inch crack in one of the lower petals. It works, I have tested it both with a 9-volt battery and a 1920's radio with good old-timey results. Turning the lever on the front of the reproducer affects the tone of the speaker well. The speaker will be thoughtfully and carefully packed for safe travel and delivery. Please view all the pictures and feel free to ask questions.
